Beyond Behavior: Using Brain Science and Compassion to Understand and Solve Children's Behavioral Challenges

About the Book

What if we saw behavior not as something to manage, but as a meaningful clue into a student’s experience? In Beyond Behaviors, Dr. Mona Delahooke offers a compassionate, research-based framework for understanding challenging behaviors through the lens of brain science and relational safety. With engaging visuals and practical tools, she equips educators to support students navigating anxiety, trauma, developmental differences, and more. This book invites a shift from compliance-focused strategies to approaches that build trust, resilience, and authentic connection—supporting every student’s growth and well-being.
